Hello everyone!
Have you ever been to London? The advanced English class of grade 12 spent four days in London from 15 to 20 March. We stayed in the Astor Kensington Hostel.
The theme of our trip was Shakespeare, which is why we visited Shakespeare’s birthplace in Stratford-Upon-Avon and had a walk with a tour guide through the parts of London where Shakespeare lived and worked when he was alive. Furthermore, we visited the Globe Theatre and learned a lot about how things in the theatre used to be in the time when Shakespeare was alive.
Special highlights of this trip were seeing the different monuments like the Buckingham Palace and the Big Ben.
Another highlight was the visit to the Royal Albert Hall, even if not everyone likes classical music, it was a great experience to listen to the Mahler symphony No. 6. We each could decide if we wanted to go to the theatre to watch a comedy play, „The Play That Goes Wrong“ or if we wanted to go to the musical, „Moulin Rouge“, which seemed to be equally exhilarating and worth seeing.
Overall we had a great experience and could really improve our English skills.
